National Science Day: Parent-Led Science Exploration Mission (Free & Decentralized!)

Parents, are you ready to turn the world into a classroom for your family? 

This National Science Day, forget the four walls! Walking Ferns is challenging you to step out, explore science in the real world, and show your kids that curiosity lives everywhere!

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It…

Amazing government scientific institutions, from cutting-edge research labs and universities to local science centers, are opening their doors across India for National Science Day. Can we possibly cover them all? Absolutely not! That’s where you come in.

Instead of one central gathering, we’re challenging families to split up and conquer the scientific landscape in your own locality! Find your nearest official institute, explore the wonders within, and then share your discovery on social media. Your local experience will inspire others and map out the incredible scientific opportunities available across the country!

The Challenge Invitation:

1. 🔍 Locate: Find the nearest government science institution (labs, centers, museums) in your area.

2. 🗓️ Plan: Check their National Science Day activities.

3. 👯‍♀️ Go: Step out with your child and explore! (Invite neighborhood families/friends to join the adventure if you like, but even one family is a powerhouse!)

4. 📸 Share Your Discovery (The Mindful Way!)
   We encourage you to keep your phone in your pocket while exploring! The real joy is in being present, take in the exciting lessons, and sharing curiosity with your child.

   Once your visit is complete, we invite you to choose ONE of the following options to share your experience:

   🖼️ Option 1: The Single Photo

   Take one great picture of your family/group outside the institution, or a photo of the building itself.

   Use the caption to share the most surprising/interesting thing your child discovered.

   📹 Option 2: The Quick Video

   Record a short video while standing outside the institution (in your local language, if you wish!) talking about the one thing you or your child liked the most. (This inspires more parents!)
